About the destination

Either in evocative ruins or restored to former splendor, Rajasthan is a place on almost everybody’s wish lists. Riot invoking colors, battle scarred forts, breathtaking sand dunes, slightly arrogant pride and honor – the largest state of India houses many royal ruins that take you back to the grandeur of its kingdoms.

Literally the Land of the Kings, it is home to the chivalrous Rajputs, and its battle-scarred heritage has bestowed legacies of pride and tradition. The upper echelons of this society built magnificent palaces and forts, many of which are now glorious hotels and museums. In addition, stunning handicrafts and fine arts were developed and nurtured through patronage by the maharajas. Village life remains steeped in tradition but, just like the rest of India, the pace of change is accelerating.

These towns have a rich and imperial frontier as well as a laidback rural life. All along the tour, you will encounter people from different walks of life, each telling a story of their own.

About the departure

Experience the best of this Imperial state as you drive through a varied countryside adorned with palaces, lakes and vast stretches of the Great Indian Desert. Visit the ancient temples, gorgeous lakes and majestic palaces in Udaipur. Then head to visit the famous Chittorgarh fort and Rana Kumbha Palace in Chittorgarh. Your visit in Rajasthan isn’t complete without experiencing the culture and peaceful vibes of Pushkar.
