Cochin (Kochi) arrival: Welcome to God’s own country!!

Cochin Spice Market You will be welcomed and assisted at Cochin airport and later transferred to your hotel to check in. Kochi is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as ‘God’s Own Country’. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala. Remaining time is at leisure till next morning or if time allows, you may enjoy the 17th century art form (optional tour) i.e. Kathakali Dance at one of the popular cultural centers in Fort Kochi. Kathakali is an ancient classical dance form of Kerala. It is a combination of drama, dance, music and ritual. You may also watch the extensive make-up process and then enjoy a story telling in Kerala style in the performance. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Kochi – Munnar (132 kms/4 hrs.):

Munnar Hill Station Morning after breakfast, proceed for a tour of Kochi/Cochin. Explore the heritage sites of Fort Kochi. You can shop for antiques and spices. You will start your tour from the St. Francis Church- the oldest church in India and explore the imposing Santa Cruz basilica built by the Portuguese. It will be fun to observe the iconic and still-in-use Chinese fishing nets and even try using them yourself. Stroll past the shops along Jew Street shopping for antiques & spices and also visit the Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace. You will notice that the heritage zone of the city is amazingly well preserved. Later proceed towards Munnar, undoubtedly one among the most famous destinations of Kerala. Enjoy your days in sprawling tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains of the lofty Western ghats. En-route visit Valara waterfalls. On arrival at Munnar, check-in at your hotel. Remaining time is at leisure till next morning. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Munnar

Munnar Hill Station After breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Munnar. Munnar drives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. Close by is the Echo Point, which offers you a panoramic view and the thrill of hearing your voice echo. Popular sightseeing spots in Munnar that can be visited also include Poopara, Pothanmedu, Mattupetty Indo Swiss Project, Eravikulam Park. Overnight stay at the resort in Munnar.

Munnar – Periyar (124 kms/3:30 hrs.):

Periyar National Park After a picturesque drive reach Periyar National Park – one of the best jungles in South India. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Day free to participate in different activities. Stay overnight at your resort.

Thekkady - Alleppey (145 kms/5 hrs.):

Alleppey Backwaters Morning you will be driven to Alleppey. Alleppey, rightly stakes claim to its nickname 'Venice of the East', with its meandering lagoons, coconut trees, endless rows of paddy fields. On arrival, you will be transferred straightway to your backwaters resort. Alleppey is an ideal base to experience the beaches and backwaters. During the day you will visit Coir factory and Krishna Temple. Stay overnight at your resort.

Allepey – Kovalam by surface (168 kms/4:30 hrs.):
